Why Watford?

Watford is currently undergoing a large regeneration having already completed Atria Watford shopping mall, transport upgrades and more. Watford Borough Council plans to invest more than £1.5 billion over the next 10 to 15 years with the aim of creating thousands of new homes and jobs, improving local services, transport infrastructure and leisure services.

This investment is already attracting large companies. Watford is home to Premiership Football Club, Watford FC, the head offices of T.K. Maxx, Ralph Lauren and PricewaterhouseCoopers, who opened a new 600-person office in December 2020. This joins another world class accountancy business, KPMG, which has a long-established office with some 800 staff.

Clarendon Road, where The Clarendon is located, has already benefitted from some of this investment, with upgraded carriageway and footways and the installation of more attractive outdoor furniture and streetlamps.

This ongoing investment is set to have a positive impact on the values of property in the area, particularly those centrally located.
